How to spot a Baby Boomer

Baby Boomers are easy to spot at sporting events; during the playing of the National Anthem. The Boomers are the old people  who remove their caps, cover their hearts, stand at attention and often sing without embarrassment. They probably remember most or all of the words and believe in them.

Baby Boomers may not know who Justin Bieber is or even Cardi B. But you can bet they remember Elvis!

Boomers have learned about World War II, Pearl Harbor, Guadalcanal, Normandy, and Hitler. They remember the Atomic Age, the Korean War, The Cold War, the Jet Age and remember where they were during the the Moon Landing. They remember  or may have even served in Vietnam.  Boomers know our great country is protected, not by politicians, but by the young men and women in the military serving their country.

Baby Boomers tend to be more polite and courteous … If you bump into a boomer on the sidewalk he will most likely apologize. If you pass a Baby Boomer on the street, he will nod or tip his cap to a lady. Boomers usually trust strangers and are courteous to women and treat them with great respect. (If they fail to treat a woman with respect, their wife will almost surely tell them about it!)

Baby Boomers often hold the door for the next person and always, when walking, make certain the lady is on the inside for protection.

Boomers get embarrassed if someone curses in front of women and children and they don’t like any filth or dirty language on TV or in movies. This country needs the Baby Boomer generation with their work ethic, sense of responsibility, pride in their country, and decent values.
